Meet the Rebbeim
Originally trained in Yeshivas Ponevezh – Bnei Brak, Israel, Rabbi Shmuel Katz began disseminating Torah in Canada in the Ottawa area in 2004. Yeshiva Darchei Torah of Toronto has had the z’chus to claim him as our Grade 12 Rebbe since 2008. He has forged strong bonds with his Talmidim, and continues to guide them in their Beis Medrash years and beyond.
Rabbi Mandel is a graduate of the famed yeshivos of Mir and Beth Medrash Govoha. He spent many years studying in Kollel L’asukei D’shmatsa in Ramot, Israel where he received Smicha from Rabbi Yitzchok Kaufman and Rabbi Zalman Nechemia Goldberg. While living in Israel, Rabbi Mandel taught at Toras Ze’ev, an Israeli yeshiva high school. Rabbi Mandel joined our yeshiva in 2014 and is currently our Grade 11 rebbi.
Before joining the Yeshiva as the Grade 10 Rebbi, Rabbi Rothstein and his family moved to Toronto joining Kollel Ohalei Yom Tov as one of the founding members. While at the kollel, Rabbi Rothstein was involved in delivering shiurim to the Toronto community and served as a Night Seder rebbi at Yeshiva Darchei Torah. Prior to this, Rabbi Rothstein studied in the Kollel of Yeshivas Ohr Hachaim in Queens, New York for four years while teaching at Mesivta Yesodei Yeshurun.
