Meet the Rebbeim

Rabbi Yitzchok Czermak

Grade 9 Rebbi

 

Rabbi Czermak was raised here in Toronto where he attended the Yeshiva Gedolah of Toronto.  He then continued on to learn in Yeshivas Kodshim under Rav Tzvi Kaplan.  After learning for five years in the famed Lakewood Yeshiva, Beth Medrash Govoha, he returned to Toronto where he joined Kollel Oholei YomTov as one of its founding members.  

In 2012 he was hired as a Bekius Rebbe by our Yeshiva, and has been with the Yeshiva in a part time capacity since.  In 2013, Rabbi Czermak was hired by Yeshiva Yesodei Hatorah, where he spent five years as the Grade 6 Rebbe developing different techniques on how to best reach his Talmidim.

Rabbi Shlomo Rothstein
Grade 10 Rebbi

 

Before joining the Yeshiva as the Grade 10 Rebbi, Rabbi Rothstein and his family moved to Toronto joining Kollel Ohalei Yom Tov as one of the founding members. 

While at the kollel, Rabbi Rothstein was involved in delivering shiurim to the Toronto community and served as a Night Seder rebbi at Yeshiva Darchei Torah. Prior to this, Rabbi Rothstein studied in the Kollel of Yeshivas Ohr Hachaim in Queens, New York for four years while teaching at Mesivta Yesodei Yeshurun.

Rabbi Moshe Mandel
Grade 11 Rebbi

Rabbi Mandel is a graduate of the famed yeshivos of Mir and Beth Medrash Govoha. He spent many years studying in Kollel L’asukei D’shmatsa in Ramot, Israel where he received Smicha from Rabbi Yitzchok Kaufman and Rabbi Zalman Nechemia Goldberg. While living in Israel, Rabbi Mandel taught at Toras Ze’ev, an Israeli yeshiva high school. 

Rabbi Mandel joined our yeshiva in 2014 and is currently our Grade 11 rebbi.

Rabbi Shmuel Katz
Grade 12 Rebbi

Originally trained in Yeshivas Ponevezh – Bnei Brak, Israel, Rabbi Shmuel Katz began disseminating Torah in Canada in the Ottawa area in 2004. 

Yeshiva Darchei Torah of Toronto has had the z’chus to claim him as our Grade 12 Rebbe since 2008. He has forged strong bonds with his Talmidim, and continues to guide them in their Beis Medrash years and beyond.
